2017-3-3 ALMA Cycle 5 mock proposals
Taiwan-ARC will hold a mock review for all ALMA Taiwan users planning to submit Cycle 5 proposals. The deadline for submitting your mock reviews to us is 26th March 2017 (one day after the ALMA user workshop).

2017-2-8 ALMA Users Workshop 2017
In preparation for ALMA Cycle 5, ARC-T and UCAT will hold a one day ALMA Users Workshop on Saturday March 25th 2017 at the ASIAA building. For more information and registration see here.

2017-1-11 3mm VLBI in ALMA Cycle 5
ALMA plans to participate in some GMVA (Global mm VLBI Array) observations during ALMA Cycle 5. 'ALMA' must be mentioned in the GMVA proposal whose deadline is February 1st 2017. For more information see here.

2017-1-3 ALMA Band 1 Science Workshop
Registration for the ALMA Band 1 Science Workshop has closed. The workshop will take place at ASIAA from the 16th to 18th January. The program has been finalised and can be viewed here. A discussion on Band 1 Science Verification will occur on the 19th and 20th January.

2016-9-21 ALMA Band 1 Science Workshop announcement
ASIAA will host an ALMA Band 1 Science Workshop from the 16-18 January 2017 to introduce the exciting new science that Band 1 can deliver. There will be invited talks, contributed talks, and a poster session. The 19-20 January 2017 will have additional sessions related to Band 1 Science Verification. 2016-8-1 ASIAA CASA Development Center established
The ASIAA CASA Development Center (ACDC) has opened at ASIAA. We will collaborate with the NRAO in the development of the CASA software package. For more information, see here.

2016-6-23 ALMA Band 1 reciever approved by the ALMA Board
We are pleased to announce the ALMA Board has approved the production of ALMA Band 1 recievers. This reciever has been designed and developed at ASIAA and will be manufactured in Taiwan. For more information see the official Academia Sinica press release here.

2016-3-22 ALMA call for proposals for Cycle 4
The ALMA Cycle 4 Call for Proposals for proposals has been issued. The proposal submission deadline is 1500 UT on April 21st 2016. For more information, please see here.

2016-3-15 ALMA Cycle 4 mock proposals:
Taiwan-ARC will hold a mock review for all Taiwan ALMA users planning to submit Cycle 4 proposals. The deadline for submitting mock reviews to us is 1st April 2016. See here for more information.

2016-2-19 ALMA Users Workshop 2016 (March 19th and 26th):
ALMA will issue its Cycle 4 Proposal Call on March 22nd. In response to that, the Taiwan-ARC node and tuCASA will hold a two day ALMA Users Workshop on March 19th and 26th. For more information see here.

2015-12-16 ALMA Cycle 4 Pre-announcement:

2015-2-25 ALMA Users Workshop 2015 (March 28, 2015):
Taiwan-ARC and tuCASA will jointly host an ALMA User Workshop on March 28 to prepare users for the upcoming ALMA Cycle 3 proposal call. For more information see here. Please register here (registration deadline March 21).

2015-2-25 ASTE and Mopra proposal calls 2015:
Taiwan ALMA users can access the following two telescopes through the East Asian ARC. They both have currently open proposal calls.
1) For Atacama Submillimeter Telescope Experiment (ASTE) information see here (deadline March 27).
2) For Mopra 22m radio telescope information see here (deadline March 20).

2015-1-5 ALMA Cycle 3 Pre-announcement:
The ALMA cycle 3 observing run is to commence in October 2015. A call for proposals will be issued on March 24th 2015 with subsequent deadline April 23rd 2015.

A new image of the center of the distinctive galaxy Centaurus A, made with the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA), shows how the new observatory allows astronomers to see through the opaque dust lanes that obscure the galaxy’s center, with unprecedented quality.

2012-05-31 ALMA Taiwan Mock Review:
The Taiwan ARC node will hold a mock review of ALMA proposals for Cycle 1. This mock review is mainly targeted at new users, postdocs, and students in Taiwan. Nonetheless, all Taiwanese users are welcome to submit their proposals. Mock proposal submission deadline: 22 June 2012.

2012-05-31 ALMA Call for Proposals for Cycle 1:
The ALMA Director, on behalf of the Joint ALMA Observatory (JAO) and the three partner organizations in East Asia, Europe and North America, is pleased to announce the release of the Early Science Cycle 1 Call for Proposals. Proposal submission deadline: 12 July 2012 (15:00 UT). Please note that Taiwanese user now only need one user account.

The third installment of Science Verification data is now available. Taiwanese users can ask the ARC to help to get these data. They are all locally available at ASIAA.
